Very often referred to as the "prize to the hunter", the tenderloin (aka backstrap) is also the same cut where the filet mignon comes from on beef.

Extremely tender (hence the name) and lean, pairing with a sauce or bacon can add some great flavor and make up for the natural lack of fat content.

That said, a little salt and pepper to enhance the natural flavor and slapping on a hot grill for a few minutes is our go-to!
